澳洲地广人稀，面积是印度的3倍大，人口却比上海还少，很多地方还是无人区。在这个公交系统不发达，没车就是没腿的国家，开车变的非常重要。今天通通就为大家介绍如何在澳洲开车。

澳洲驾车合法性

原则上，持有国际驾照就可以在澳洲开车。由于中国不是国际汽联的成员，我们不认可国际驾照，我们也没有国际驾照。

对于大部分的中国（大陆）人，都是只持有中国大陆驾照。我们就从中国大陆驾照说起。

大陆驾照+NATTI英文翻译件=澳洲合法开车，但是每个州的政策有点不一样。大部分的小伙伴，都是通过淘宝翻译的英文件，假的很多。如果你拿着这样的翻译件，理论上是没问题的，因为在澳洲，无论是路局、警察都无法甄别真伪，所以不出事则没事，但是一旦有什么意外事故之类的，涉及到检验驾照合法性的时候，你的假翻译件，可能就有影响了。

维多利亚州（墨尔本）

需持NAATI的翻译员（或澳洲领事馆）翻译件才能在合法开车，或持有合格的国际驾照。

持中国公证翻译件在维州开车可能不被认可！自己翻译更加不行。

新南威尔士州（悉尼）

持有英文翻译件或者国际驾照开车是合法的。

When driving in NSW you must carry your overseas driver licence.Your licence must be written in English or, if the licence is not in English,you must either carry an English translation or an International DrivingPermit.

也就是说新南威尔士州对驾照的翻译机构没有强行要求。中国公证件或许是可以用的（不排除有更细致的规定不允许使用公证件）

南澳州（阿德莱德）

NAATI翻译件或者是领事馆、移民局的翻译件。

Driver's licence translations will only be accepted if they are:  an original document (photocopies, faxes and certified copiesare not acceptable)    from a consulate office in Australia, signedby a consulate officer, and on official consulate letterhead, or   authorised by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators andInterpreters (NAATI).Translations are also acceptable if they have beenprovided either directly by or with the endorsement of the South AustralianGovernment Interpreting and Translating Centre or interstate equivalent or theCommonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

昆士兰州（布里斯班）

需经认可的翻译件。关于“认可”，官方给出的是NAATI。

If your licence is in a language other than English, you should carry a recognised English translation of it when you are driving. You shouldshow this translation to police when you have to show your driver licence.

塔斯马尼亚

需持有正式的翻译件或者国际驾照。

If your licence is not in English, you must also carry either anofficial translation of your licence or a current International Driving Permit

西澳

需持有国际驾照或者认可的翻译件。关于“认可”，官方解释是领事馆或者NAATI三级或以上翻译员翻译。

If your overseas licence is not in English, you must carry anInternational Driving Permit or an approved English translation of your licence(if you have either of these) with you when you drive.

综上所述，关于翻译件，最稳妥的做法是：持NAATI三级或以上翻译员的翻译件。淘宝上NAATI翻译驾照，40-100元。请自行到NAATI网站验证译员资格真假。

注意：

1、租车以及驾驶途中需要携带盖翻译员章的原件以及驾照原价。

2、永居签证（PR）持有者持海外驾照驾驶有另外的时限要求。
